Eat Your Pasta This Way!
In France the people eat cream, butter, bread and drink plenty of
wine, and yet, they don't have anywhere near the health problems
that are so common in the United States.
And in Italy, It's pasta, pasta and more pasta.
Most people are frightened of pasta, frightened of the calories and
the starchiness, but not the Italians.
They eat it differently, they use more herbs and spices, less sauce,
less meat and cheese.
And they do one more thing that helps them with weight maintenance.
What is it? They cook if for 6 minutes.
That's right- cooking it for about 6 mins. or al dente means it (the pasta)
has less starch and sugar and retains more of its protein and nutrients.
And if you adopt the 6 minute rule like the Italians, means you'll be healthier,
feel full longer and prevent the mindless snacking later on in the day.
So, if you've been cooking your pasta for 8, 10 or 12 minutes,
stop right now and adopt the cooking techniques used by
your Italian brothers and sisters.
Good Luck!
