The Victorian Era Rx For Better Health!

                           Eat Like A Brit!

Queen Victoria who reigned during the mid 1800's right up until

the early 1900's is credited with making Great Britain a
"super" Power in terms of nation building.

England saw a rise in the number of people moving to the middle class, the arts,
the educational system
and of course-Industry.
But one thing, the people of the Victorian era didn't get credit  for was their great health.
Yes, life expectancy was about 75 yrs. of age, and back then that was a long time.

You may think with prosperity came overindulgence, but the Brits did something
back then that could help you make it to 80, 90 or even 100 easily.

What was it?
They ate a diet rich in Beta-Glucans.

What is that?
It's a "super" soluble fiber that contains antioxidants and
these antioxidants help you dodge diabetes, prevent colds and flu, protect your arteries, and lower cancer rates.
The Victorians got their beta-glucans from a moldy bread that was made with lots of yeast.

And to wash it down, they drank a yeasty beer.
The combination of yeast and mold is believed to boost health and prevent illnesses.

So, are you convinced? Are you ready to eat like a Brit from the Victorian era?
Well, you may not be able to find a moldy, yeasty beer or bread today, but you can get your beta-glucans from oatmeal,
barley, mushrooms and dates.

Good Luck!
