Asia's Recipe For A Flatter Stomach!

The Secret Recipe For a Flatter Stomach!

When it comes to aging well and maintaining weight a lot of people look to
the Asians.
Their ability to maintain weight has a lot of people in other countries
hoping for that kind of success.
Well, hope no more, a top nutritionist has come up with a dish that
uses a lot of ingredients that are so popular in Asian culture
and if you want to trim down (especially in the belly area) you too,

should start eating this dish.
The dish: Beef Fried Rice.
We know, fried rice and beef?
Yes, beef -although it gets a bad rap, helps speed up metabolism and
cuts cravings and the rice-it steadies blood sugar levels,  and since it's
rich in fiber and other nutrients, it lowers the insulin production
that triggers the fat.
So, if you're a fan of beef, rice and a flatter stomach, make the following dish.
Beef-Fried Rice..

Ingredients:
1 cup of uncooked brown rice-
2 boneless beef rib-eye steaks, cut 3/4" thick, about 8 oz. each.
2 Tbs. lite soy sauce
1 tsp. instant coffee powder
6 tsp. oil, (peanut, walnut, coconut or olive)

1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup thinly sliced mushrooms

2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup thinly sliced scallions (optional)
------------------------------------------------------------
Directions:

Cook the rice according to the directions on the box.
Cut beef crosswise into 1 X 1/8 inch strips
Mix soy sauce and coffee powder until coffee dissolves.
In a large nonstick skillet, heat up 2 tsp of the oil
over medium-heat until hot.
Add the onions and mushrooms, fry for a min. or two,

add the eggs-cook stirring occasionally, about 1 minute.
Stir in the rice, soy sauce,  cook for another minute,
Remove the contents of this skillet to a large plate
and keep warm. Add half of the beef to the skillet with some oil and cook until

the beef is no longer pink, remove it and place it on a plate and add the rest of
the beef and oil and cook until beef is no longer pink, after that add the rice
and beef to the skillet and allow it cook for another minute (stirring well)

or until heated through, remove from the skillet and sprinkle with scallions.
And there you have it, a belly-flattening dish that would make you the envy of
people everywhere, (especially in Asian countries)..
Also helpful:
If you like your fried rice spicier, by all means go ahead and indulge.
Spices like cayenne pepper, cumin, ginger, and cinnamon, all encourage

fat cells to use blood sugar for fuel, before it becomes stored as fat.

Good Luck!

Spain's Rx For A Leaner Figure!

                           Eat Like A Spaniard!

In the southern Spanish region of Spain there's a place called
Andalusia! And this beautiful countryside is referred to as "El
Valle de Lecrin" which translates to Valley Of Happiness!
But it's not just the majestic beauty of the countryside that's
to be admired, it's also a place where 2 foods were started and these
2 foods will make a big difference in your health and well-being.
The 2 Foods:
a) Appetizers-
Instead of eating a big meal at lunch or dinner, the people of Andalusia
eat Tapas. What are they? Considered a "mini-meal" or an appetizer,
this type of meal is smaller but helps you get full faster. When you eat an

appetizer, you tend to eat more slowly, and this helps prevents indigestion
and belly bloat. And if you're struggling with weight, try making some
appetizers at home or order only appetizers when dining out and share with
others and see if it this makes a difference in your weight.
b) Gazpacho-
If you're a fan of Gazpacho and you ever wondered who invented it,
wonder no more-it was invented in Andalusia!
Not only is it a great soup for those scorching days of July and August,
it can also help you get more calm. More calm? Yes, give credit to the
tomatoes and bell peppers, both of which contain vitamin C, and the
more vitamin C you have in your system, the less stressed you'll be.

Where do you find Gazpacho? Find some pre-made at Whole Foods,
or go to Google  and type how to make Gazpacho in the subject line,
or go to Supermodel Carol Alt's site, CarolAlt.com and find a Gazpacho
recipe there.
That's It- 2 food tips from our friends in Spain.

Good Luck!
