The Italian Way!
Stress is on the rise on a lot of places, the worry over finances, aging
parents, college costs, etc.
Sure you can meditate, eat more fish, beans and walnuts or you can
do something your brothers and sisters from Italy have been doing
for yrs.
What is it?
Cooking with garlic. More specifically garlic bread.
That's right- just the scent of garlic bread can calm down any
situation that might turn ugly.
The rich aroma of the bread and garlic calms the brain's anxiety
center, working even better than deep breathing.
So, ladies and gentlemen, next time there's loud shouting
or too-high anxiety levels, place a slice or two of Italian (or French)
bread on a baking sheet, pour on a little olive oil and then some
minced garlic. Put the oven on low and place the bread in the oven.
And after a few minutes, see if the energy and noise levels
aren't different.
