India's Rx For A Younger Brain!

Simple Way To Prevent Mental Decline!

If you're concerned with memory loss, dementia or even
Alzheimer's, you're not alone.
Mental decline is right up there with bone loss, (falling)
heart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer when it comes to
aging. And if you're spending obscene amounts on memory
booster like games and supplements, you may want to hold
onto your money and try the natural Rx the people of
India have been using for thousands of yrs.
what is it?
Yoga!

Yes, some out there may have thought Turmeric, (the spice)
but we said thousands of yrs. and researchers think that it
was founded some 5, OOO yrs. by the Indians.
And if brain decline is something you fear, perhaps
you'd better take after the people of India
and take it up.

Why Yoga?
Researchers say that yoga (or even gentle stretching) for
20 to 25 mins. a day, a few times a wk. will improve
your working memory, concentration, multitasking skills,
accuracy and cognitive speed.
And why will this work you ask?
Because yoga requires you to move and breathe at a steady
rate, which strengthens certain areas of the brain.

And for those who aren't able to or who don't like to
exercise, look for the supplement called "pycnogenol"
this extract from French pine trees reduce inflammation
in, and damage to neurons and improve blood flow,
so your brain gets more energizing oxygen and nutrients.
Talk to your doctor before taking this or any type of
Supplement.

And if you not sure how to find yoga stretches and
breathing techniques, go online to YouTube.com
and type in beginner's yoga in the search bar.
Or if you're already a member of a gym, ask around
and see if  there's anything available in regards to yoga.
That's it, until next time.

Good Luck!

Ireland's Beverage Rx For Heart Health!

                             Drink Up For Good Health!
The hot toddy is a popular drink that makes its presence known
this time of year.

The origin of the hot toddy is quite interesting, why?
Several countries take credit for developing it.
Some say it was invented in India centuries ago, others
say it was discovered by Native Indians who took the sap
from palm trees and added cloves and nutmeg, and then again,
the people of Scotland take credit for inventing it in the 1700's.
And finally, the good old Irish say it was them, they invented it
to take the edge off the dark, dank and rainy climate that's
common in Ireland.

Well, whomever discovered it should take credit not only for a
great tasting drink, but a healthy one as well.
Healthy how?
It protects your heart against the harsh Winter elements,
like walking or working outdoors and it also protects your heart
against the Winter killer known as the "Widow Maker"

What is the "Widow Maker?"
Serious heart attacks from snow shoveling
that sends too many men to early graves. And if you
make it or have it made with apple cider, you can reduce
your risk of breathing issues like asthma or bronchitis.

That's right - the alcohol in a hot toddy is a natural blood thinner,
that reduces your risk of dangerous blood clots, and the honey lowers
cholesterol and kills germs and the apple cider, which uses the whole apple
(including the peel) is an all-natural antihistamine that curbs allergic reactions,
eases inflammation in the bronchial tract and soothes irritated lung tissue.

So, are you ready to add hot toddies to your list to this Winter's
menu?

The Hot Toddy Recipe:
Well, here's a quick recipe if  you do...
Combine a 1 cup of brandy or whiskey, 1/2 cup of apple cider
(not the vinegar) 1 tbsp. of honey and 2 tbsps. of lemon juice.
Stir and place in two separate mugs. And for a more heartwarming
effect, heat up the mugs first.

There you have it, a heart healthy drink from Ireland, or India or England.
Wherever, just enjoy it and one more tip. Stop at one drink- too much
alcohol can be detrimental to your heart and overall health.

Good Luck!
