Japan's Beverage Rx To Lower Cholesterol!

                         Drink Up Like The Japanese!

Want to lower your cholesterol? Want to do it for less than
a pack of gum?
Well, do like the people of  some Japanese cities and drink green tea.

Drinking between 1 and 3 cups of green a day,
tea can lower the bad cholesterol in a matter of weeks.
Give credit to the brew's powerful store of antioxidant-rich
catechins, which decrease the absorption of cholesterol in the body.

And one more tip- avoid adding sugar to the green tea and also
make sure to avoid (or eat occasionally) the danish, pastries,
scones, muffins and canolis. Doing so, will result in more than
high cholesterol.

Good Luck!

Japan's Rx To Calm You Down!

                  Use Plants For More Calm!

The Japanese are some of the heartiest and longest-living
people in the World. Thanks to their strong family ties, low-fat
diet,  and work ethic.
But, those things can't keep them from the stress and anxiety
that plagues a lot of us from time to time.
So, how do they deal with stress?
With Plants!

For centuries, if you were stressed in Japan, you dealt with it by
partaking in the Art of Bonsai!
What is it? It's pruning, shaping and caring for a container plant.
And if you too, are bothered by everyday problems like bills,
job security, misbehaving kids, eating right and other problems,
take up gardening.

It doesn't have to be a big garden, just tending to indoor houseplants
soothes the nervous system, lowers blood pressure, and even
reduces heart and breathing rates, helping you to calm down.
Another benefit of indoor plants: the plants boost moods,
increase oxygen in the home and remove toxins from your home.

That's it- A Japanese secret to boost your health.
And if you're interested in Bonsai plants, head to your local
Nursery or Gardening center and ask for a Bonsai plant or
a container plant. Or go online to TheBonsaiSite.com.

Good Luck!

and healthiest around. One way the people stay so healthy is with
a plant.

The plant:  Coriander leaves also known as Cilantro.
And if you're concerned about the amount of pollutants,
mercury (from fish) and other toxins you take in, then you need cilantro.
And if you have intestinal problems like gas and indigestion,
cilantro will also help with that as well.

So, head to your local supermarket or produce stand and pick up some
fresh cilantro or dried cilantro in a bottle, and add it to soups, stir-fries,
soups or add a tsp. to some hot water and make a tea.

France's Beverage Rx For Heart Health!

                                   Drink Up Like The French!
The drink that's mostly drunk around the New Year can boost heart health,
shield you from Parkinson's disease, and increase circulation.
What drink is able to do all that?
Champagne!

That's right, a glass of the bubbly is a bonafide health tonic.
Not only does it keep inflammation from attaching to
artery walls around your heart and your brain.
And less inflammation means a reduced chance of getting
heart disease or Parkinson's disease.

And that's not all-The fizzy bubbles also benefit your health,
how? They boost circulation and increase levels of nitric oxide,
helping to keep all of your internal organs "well-noursihed."
That's it- Although it may not be in your budget to drink
champagne daily, try and drink some a few times a week.
It doesn't have to be a $200 or $300 dollar bottle,
a bottle that costs $30 or less is quite alright.

Good Luck!

Asian Rx For A Blemish-Free Complexion!

                                   Looking Younger Like Asian Women!
It's a mystery that a lot of people have been trying to solve for
some time now...how do Asian women manage to look 10 to 20 yrs.
younger than their actual age?

Well, some say it's the diet, (mostly vegetables, fish, rice and green tea)
some say the hard work, and of course others say it's genetics.
No one is really sure, but there is something that a lot of Asian
women do, and it could be the reason for their youthful skin.

The reason: Body Brushing or Body Buffing.

What is it?
Simply using a brush or washcloth to brush off the dead, dry skin.

In a past post, we told you about body brushing, so today-we'll
focus on the wash cloth Rx.
Let the steam from your shower soften your skin for a min. or two,
and then use a soapy "Korean" washcloth, starting with
your face, then the soles of your feet and back up toward your heart.
And use a little extra pressure on the lymph-gland areas-(below the jaw,

under the arms, and at the top of the thighs).

And what is a "Korean" washcloth? It's a washcloth with a coarse texture
that whisks away dead skin cells that dull and age the skin.
Another tip: When you move to the soles of your feet, and back up towards
your heart focusing on the lymph glands, you encourage the elimination
of toxins that can lead to blemishes on your face, back and other areas of the
body. Plus, it rejuvenates the skin.

Now, that you one of the secrets that keep Asian women looking decades
younger, here are a few more tips.
a) Rewash the washcloth after each use. An unwashed cloth, only invites
bacteria.
b) Where do you find "Korean" washcloths? At Asian markets, Asian beauty
supply shops, or go online to AsianFoodGrocer.com or call 1-888-482-2742.
c) And can you guess which American celebrity uses this washcloth body buffing
to stay youthful? Give up-It's Cindy Crawford! it must be working- she'll be
50 in 2016.

Good Luck!

Jamaica's Beverage Rx For Women!

                     Ending Painful Periods!

Hey ladies, do you know the most popular drink in Jamaica?

If you said coconut water, give yourself a hand.
And drinking more coconut water can especially help women.
How?

One woman hoping to get more healthy, decided to add more
coconut water to her diet.
And after a weeks of drinking coconut water, she received an
unexpected health bonus.
The health bonus:

Her painful menstrual cramps diminished considerably.
It may be the high electrolyte count in each can that's
responsible for helping to ease the painful cramps.

So, if you're a woman or related to a woman, who suffers each
month, put away the Midol and pick up the coconut water,
just like the Jamaicans.

Good Luck!
