Eat More Cheese For Stronger Bones!
Are you concerned about bone loss? We all should be concerned.
Bone loss and aging seem to go hand-in-hand.
Luckily, there's a food that may help us prevent it and it's
used in Italy in egg dishes, over stir-fried vegetables
and baked pasta dishes.
The Food:
Pecorino Romano Cheese!
Why pecorino?
Believe it or not, it's not the calcium, but a fatty acid. A fatty acid
better known as conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), found mostly
in dairy products, that blocks the inflammation that can lead to bone
loss and osteoporosis.
And women from Italy, who use pecorino romano on a daily basis,
had greater bone mass and scored higher on density tests of the bones
in their hips, back, thighs and forearms, compared to women who avoid
or use less pecorino and other dairy products.
And even more good news about Pecorino:
The cheese is made from sheep's milk as opposed to cow's milk,
so those who may have trouble consuming cow's milk, then you can
get your cheese fix and bone protection from Pecorino Romano cheese.
Look for Pecorino Romano at Italian shops, cheese shops
or your local supermarket.
Good Luck!
