Happiness Secrets From Around The World!

                            Head To Bhutan For Happiness!

As promised, here are the "happiness" secrets from Bhutan,
one of the poorest countries in the World.
a) Surround Yourself With Happy People-
If you read yesterday's post, then you remember this tip
from the "happiness" secrets from Napa Valley, Cal.
It just means hang out, have meals and spend time with
people who are positive and upbeat. Researchers say we
copy the behavior of those around you. And if you have kids,
make sure you surround them with positive people.
b) Surround Yourself With Inspiring Messages-
Similar to post above, it simply means you should surround yourself
with upbeat proverbs and inspirational sayings.
In Bhutan, the people don't have billboards with pithy sayings,
but they do have-flags with positive messages.

To find inspiration in your life, follow someone on Twitter
who dispenses positive messages like Rev. Run or LLCoolJ.
Or go online to QuoteGarden.com, copy something that appeals

to you and read it before leaving for work or school and again
at night.
c) Do Something Hard-
Give up on something when it becomes difficult? Not the people of Bhutan,
they love a challenge and stick it out to the the end.
People feel a rush of pride after successfully accomplishing something
that's very challenging.
Your assignment- Do something- whether it's learning a new language
or doing something on your computer other than send e-mails
and see if it doesn't feel you with pride.
d) Do This Exercise-
You won't see the people of Bhutan in the gym exercising for hrs.
nor will you see them jogging for miles each day, the exercise
that's very popular- Taking slow, deep breaths and meditating.
Doing this for a few weeks helps lower stress levels and helps build
up your compassion for others. A woman who did the slow breathing exercises
for a few wks. was able to end the negative thoughts and anxiety that plagued
her for yrs.
Go online to Google.com and type how to slow breathe or meditate
in the search bar.
e) Remember Karma-
What you put out in the universe, you'll get back.
That's what the people of the Bhutan think, and so do a lot of people

from a lot of countries. Doing good and helping others helps you
feel more optimistic, less stressed and feel a sense of self-worth.
Your Assignment- Do something good (big or small) and see if you
feel better. Pay for the people who are behind you at the toll booth,
help an elderly man or woman across the street, or donate to a charity
that helps animals or people involved in fires or other unfortunate mishaps.

That's it- and remember, if things aren't going the way you want,
think of the people of Bhutan. No matter how dark and bleak
things are, they're always smiling.
See title at right.

Good Luck!
