The Greek's Herbal Rxs For Better Health!

                           Live Long Like A Crete!

Crete- a picturesque isle off the coast of Greece, is now being recognized by
natural healers, medical professionals and researchers as a place where living to
age 80, 90 and beyond is becoming the norm.
And why is it happening?
Strong family ties
Walking long distances
Strong coffee
Fish
Vegetables and fruits
and herbs.

That's right- herbs. If you're a resident of the U.S. you may think salt, pepper
and cinnamon are the only things that should go on food or a hot beverage,
but not in China, India, France, Italy, Puerto-Rico,  Poland or Greece.
In these countries, you'll find a lot of meals and beverages being flavored
with anise, cilantro,  nutmeg, chives, curry, turmeric, saffron, and Cumin.

And if you find your way to Crete, you'll most likely be introduced to
bay leaves, olive leaves, thyme, milk thistle and fennel and if you're not sure
how these herbs benefit your health, just look below...

a) Milk Thistle-
Liver need rebuilding? Look no further than Milk thistle.

M. T. is a natural filter for your liver, purging pollutants, heavy metals and pesticides.
Look for milk thistle in capsule form at health-food stores.
One word of caution- it's best to take this under the supervision of your doctor.

b) Thyme-
Used for centuries to quell endless coughing, it's now being used to help those
who need a natural digestive aid. Yes, probiotics are getting a lot of attention,
and thyme is a great way to help restore "friendly bacteria" to your gut.

Look for fresh or dried thyme at supermarkets and add some to a soup, stew or tea,
or look for thyme in capsule form at health-food stores.
c) Bay Leaves-
You may recognize those thick, hard green leaves known as bay leaves as something
you add to a pot of sauce, soup or stew, but today- Bay leaves can help those
who suffer from aches and pains. And there's more- they also help those who are
at risk for blood clots, (long distance travelers or people sitting for long periods of time)
Look for bay leaves at supermarkets and place a few in a pot of water and let simmer

for 15 to 20 mins. allow the water to cool and drink up.
Or add some to warm bath to help erase those achy joints.
d) Fennel-
Popular in France and Italy as well and if you're a woman who's beset with
female problems- painful cramps or pregnancy cravings, then you must eat
and drink more fennel.
Look for it fresh or dried at supermarkets, (look for ways to cook it
on Google.com) or use the dried version to make fennel tea.
e) Olive Leaf=

Most of us know all about olives and olive oil, but the Cretes know all about the
olive leaves. And if you want to reduce blood pressure, keep your heart in tip-top

shape and block the spread of viruses, then you must add these green leaves
to your daily regimen.
One last benefit: olive leaves pack twice the antioxidants of green tea.

Look for olive leaves in capsule form and remember- do not add any type of
plant, nutrient, or vitamin without consulting with your personal physician first.

That's it- and if you want tips on how certain populations around the world
live such long and vigorous lives, head on over to Amazon.com/the kindle store

and type The Asian, French, Greek and Italians Rxs For Super Longevity
in the search bar, download it and have it on hand for those times when 60 or 70
yrs. of life just aren't enough.

Good Luck!

The German Rx For A Healthier Heart!

The German Rx For A Healthier Heart!

The Germans are industrious, hard working, hale and hearty and it's a
shame we (the rest of the World) don't look to them for their secrets
on a living such long and healthy lives.

Well, that's about to change, while going through our emails, we received
a recipe for a beverage that promises to not only heal a sickly heart, it (the beverage)
can help those who are already heart healthy and want to keep it that way.
The beverage was created by a German nun some centuries ago, to help

the women and men stay healthy during the tough Winter months and then the recipe
was rediscovered by some medical professions centuries later, who discovered it
can help those who needed something natural after suffering from all types of heart

ailments.

You know, ailments like arrhythmia, angina, tiredness after a little exertion, cardiac
weakness enlarged heart and other problems concerning the heart.
And if you're concerned about your heart health or the heart health of your loved ones,
perhaps you should give this a recipe a try.
The recipe for...
Heart Health Wine!
Ingredients:
1 bunch of parsley- stems removed, cleaned and cut up.
1 liter of good quality wine, dark red, black or white
Red wine or balsamic or apple cider vinegar 3 Tbs.
1/2 cup good quality dark honey (Manuka)
1 large-sized bottle with a top
-----------------------------------------------
Directions:
In a medium-sized or large saucepan place the first 3 ingredients.
Turn the heat on medium and (and then turn it down to low after  2 mins.) and
allow the ingredients to simmer for 10 mins.
After ten minutes turn off the heat and add the honey.
Stir well and let the ingredients mesh together and cool.

After the wine mixture has cooled, place the ingredients into a large
bottle, seal it up and store it in a cool, dark place.

And lastly, have a Tbs. of the wine mixture before heading off to
work or school, or in the evening before heading off to bed.
Or pour a little over a bowl of fruit, (berries) or over a salad.
An Important tip:
If you're being treated for any kind of heart problem and are taking
any type of medication, do not go off or throw out your prescribed medication

in favor of this recipe. Please talk it over with your medical adviser or doctor
before making any changes.

And if you enjoyed this, and want a little more info on how wine and parsley
can add yrs. (maybe even decades) to your life, head on over to Amazon.com/the
kindle store and look for...

England's Rx To Lower Summer Anxiety!

                        Become More Calmer This Summer!

Anxiety can happen yr. round, but the Summer heat and humidity can really
increase your anxiety levels.
And thanks to new research, the Brits may be able to help you lower it without
drugs or other Dr. prescribed medications.
Their Rx:
Make some Earl Grey and take in the scent.

Lord Earl Grey didn't invent the tea, it was given to him by a Chinese woman for

saving her son. And after tasting it and enjoying it immensely, The Mrs.- Lady Grey started serving it at family functions and special dinner parties and that's why it's named "Earl
Grey Tea!"
And if the oppressive heat is overstimulating your brain's anxiety center, make a pot and
take 6 -slow deep sniffs.
Making some or just taking in the scent of a tea bag will do.
Earl Grey tea has a blend of bergamot oil and aromatic tea leaves that calm you,
helping you feel more at ease and relaxed.

And one more bit of information:
A few days ago, leading health experts say that women who drink tea in their later
yrs. (60, 70, and beyond) may live for an extra 5 or more yrs.
But there's one catch to tea drinking and  living longer....it (the tea) must be drunk with

lemon, a little honey and without a danish, pastries and other sweets.
All of these things may (sugar and carbs) contribute to a shorter life.
And guys--the benefits only seem to go to the women. (Sorry)

That's it for today, and if you want info on how to make it to 80, 90 or beyond,
head online to Amazon.com/the kindle and type in The 101 Best Ways To Make It
To 100,  starting July 1st, Amazon.com allows you the read the E-books without actually

purchasing them.

Good Luck!

Japan's Secret To Longevity!

                              Live Long and Prosper!

If you've been watching the news then you may be aware of
the death of "The Oldest Man In The World!"
His name was Jiroemon Kimura, lived in Japan and passed
away a few days ago at the age of 116.
Some speculate that diet may have played a part, a diet
of vegetables, broth, tea and rice in small amounts.

Those who've write about longevity have praised the
small amounts of food Rxs to achieve longevity and there's
ample amounts  of research to back it up, people like...
a) Goddard Dodge Diamond-
Live to 120 and attributed his longevity to olive oil. He ate it
and applied it to his body like lotion. At 90 he was still doing
gymnastic moves he did as a youngster.
b) Professor Li Chung Yun-
It's on record that the professor lived to over 200 yrs. of age,
and his secret- a vegetarian diet, similar to the other Asian
man who just died.
c) Luigi Cornaro-
He wrote the book- "Treatise on Corpulence". In the book he describes
how he was almost finished at age 40 due to overindulging
in sweets, breads and meats. He decided to cut way back and eat only
fish, some broth with an egg in it, veal, partridges, kid and mutton.
Some wine and again, olive oil. At 95, he said he needed less food and still
felt vigorous enough to mount and ride a horse.
d) A New Yorker-
An Italian man who continued to work into his 90's ate one meal
a day, a piece of cheese, a slice of bread and some wine.
d) Zora Agha-
And then there's the tragic story of Mr. Agha. He lived well into
his 100's, thanks to one meal a day, some cooked onions and 2 slices
of bread. A money hungry promoter brought him to the U.S. to talk
about living well past 100, and that's when the tragedy occurred.
The tragedy:
Tasting burgers and fries for the first time, Mr. Agha went overboard,
and ate the typical American diet for a yr. and after returning

home he passed away within a few months.

So, are you convinced? Are you ready to cut way back at the dinner table. If so, go slowly and make sure you choose foods that will energize and revitalize you.

And if you want more tips on how to make it to 100 and beyond, head to Amazon.com/ the kindle store and look for a book written by Dan Buettner (a frequent guest on Dr. Oz) "The Blue Zones!" or the book written by me and some others interested in alternative
health. The E-book-- The Asian, Greek, French and Italian Rxs For Super Longevity.

Good Luck!

World Wide Rx For Longevity!

                             Live Long and Prosper!

You may know how the people of certain countries, live to a ripe
old age without the sickness, illnesses and diseases that are
so prevalent in other industrialized countries.

The people of Okinawa, the Himalayan mountains, Peru,
Sardinia and Ikaria eat plenty of vegetables, fish and beans.
They also attend some type of religious service, eat meals
together and walk a mile or more every day.
But, one thing that's rarely mentioned and should be,
because it helps contribute to their longevity, is Sleep!

That's right- In some countries, where electricity isn't available-

the people go to bed as soon as the Sun goes down, and that's
also a big reason for the long and healthy lives many people enjoy.

Seven to eight hours of sleep can help prevent a host of illnesses,
illnesses like...diabetes, depression, some cancers, (breast and prostate),

lack of focus,  memory problems, slower reaction times (driving)
and heart disease.

So, if you ever wondered how the people of some countries make it
to 90 and 100 yrs of age with such ease, now you know.
