Cool Down In Brazil!
With the excitement of the "World Cup" many are forgetting how
hot it is over in Brazil. With high temperatures and high humidity
levels, the players and the fans are really suffering.
If you're one of the lucky ones who gets to attend some of the
games or if you happen to live in a place that's similar to Brazil,
(temperature-wise) do like the Brazilians and start adding mint to
drinks and food dishes.
That's right, just like the people of Morocco, mint is a popular
herb that served in a number of ways.
To copy the drink that's all the rage in Brazil, do the following...
Fill a blender with some sliced and cubed pineapple, a cup of cold water,
a handful of mint leaves and a few ice cubes.
Blend until smooth. It's a Brazilian Pineapple-Mint Smoothie.
The menthol oil in mint lowers your body temperature. It (mint) also
affects nerves in your mouth and throat, creating a cooling sensation
in a very short time.
That's it, and if you want some more tips on how the people of
China, India and Thailand cool off during the brutal Summer
months, head on over to SupermermarketRxs@typepad.com and
learn their secrets.
Good Luck!
