The World's Best Rxs For Valentine's Day Leftovers!

                           Use Those Leftovers!

Although we're not sure how Valentine's day is celebrated in say--France, Italy,

Spain or Greece, we decided to go ahead and give you our thoughts on
how to use up those leftovers.
You know, the roses, the champagne and the chocolate.
First up, the champagne...
a) Drink it up to keep your heart and mind in tip-top shape.
The grapes used to make each bottle help keep plaque from
sticking to delicate arteries in and around the heart and brain.
b) Thicker Hair-

Don't give in to the latest and (more expensive) hair care product,
just use some lukewarm champagne as a conditioner.
It'll leave hair looking thick and luxurious.
Now on to the chocolate....

Chocolate like grapes can keep both your mind and heart in tip-top shape
as well. Give credit to the hundreds of compounds found in dark choc.
And there's more...
Eat some dark chocolate or drink a cup of unsweetened cocoa each day
and you'll...
* slash stroke risk by 20%.
eat a few grapes as well and lower it by 45%.
* stave off middle-age spread
* Extend your life by another 3 to 5 yrs.

 * Fend off blue moods.
Don't add choc. to white flour and sugar to make a decadent
dessert. Not only will blue and dark moods increase, you'll also
have middle-age spread to contend with.
And lastly, the flowers, aka Roses.
Throw some rose petals in your bath water for youthful skin
or place some in a large bowl along with some avocado and a tsp. of honey.

Blend together, lie back and apply to your face and neck.
Leave on for 15 to 20 mins. and then rinse off with water.
There you have it, some great uses for leftovers that'll not only
improve your health, but your looks as well.

Good Luck!

World's Best Beverage Rxs For Better Health!

Drink Up and Improve Your Health!

For a lot of people, this time of year means making and eating great food
and drinking great wine, whiskey, champagne and ale.
And if you're the type that can stop at one "adult" beverage a day,
give yourself some applause.
Applause...why?

A drink a day, be it wine, champagne, ale, whisky or even eggnog with
a little rum can improve your health in a number of ways.

Ways like...
* Cold and flu prevention.
Alcohol can improve immunity, making it difficult for germs to enter your system.
And if you are sick, have a hot toddy (popular in Ireland) and cut the duration
of your cold by a few days.
* A better brain-
Alcohol improves blood flow and that blood flows goes everywhere,
to your heart and your brain. And if you're concerned about your memory

fading or Alzheimer's setting in, have a glass of bubbly each day.
And even more good news: A doctor had patients who showed early signs

of dementia, change their eating habits, exercise a little more
and drink a shot of whisky or a glass of wine each day.
The results:  many were able to return to normal.

* Build Stronger Bones-
The jokes surrounding the English and their drinking has been going
on for decades, what may not be a joke, is that a mug of ale (dark)
may prevent bone thinning. And this is especially beneficial to women,
postmenopausal women concerned about breaking their hips.

What type of ale works best?
The type that's the least processed. Look for Sierra Nevada Christmas

Ale. (google it)
* A Longer Life-
Overdo the alcohol and you'll most likely speed up your decline, keep it

to a drink a day and you may live an extra 5 or more yrs. longer.
As mentioned earlier, improved blood flow, stronger immunity and
lower blood pressure all contribute to greater longevity.
So, if you or someone close to you goes overboard with the alcohol,
perhaps showing him or her this post may get them to change their ways.

And one last tip, if you're really a fan of adult beverages and you like
to travel, why not combine the two?
Say what?
That's right, head online to Amazon.com.the kindle store and download
a copy of see title to the right...
Once you download it, you'll find out what people from
other states prefer to drink. And if you can't travel to
the states to get these drinks, there are recipes so you
can make them in the privacy of your own home.

Good Luck!

France's Fatty Rx For Better Health!

                               Eat This For Better Health!

It's official, butter isn't bad for you. That's right- It's something the people
of France have known about for yrs. but of course in the U.S. it's
been bullied and shamed into the dark ages.

New research says that after studying the luscious fat for decades it
has come up with some surprising findings.

The findings:
a) Butter is high in antioxidants such as vitamins A, E and the mineral
selenium.
b) Lower Heart Disease Risks-
When butter was shamed and removed from American tables, heart
disease and heart attacks went up.
c) Thyroid Health-
One of the main glands and butter protects us from heart disease
by nourishing both the adrenal and thyroid glands.
d) Cancer and Tooth Decay-
Thanks to the fats in butter, it helps protect us from certain cancers
and tooth loss.
e) Iodine-
A lot of us have given up table salt, and that type of salt has iodine,
and the less iodine you get, the more problems you'll have with your
thyroid. Weight problems, hair loss, too cold, on and on.
f) Intestinal Health-
Especially important for kids and the elderly. Problems with your
intestines and a host of health problems ensue.
g) Better Absorption-
Skip butter on your vegetables and you won't get nearly the
amount of vitamins and minerals you should from those vegetables.
So, as you can see butter isn't all that bad. It's the foods you combine
it with (a big sugary muffin ) or (a plate of white potatoes, fried chicken
and biscuits) it's how you you use it.
And if you're using maragine or some other chemically enhanced product,

it time's to give them up and go back to a good  quality stick of butter.
And lastly, due to time constraints, you may want to read about
take on aging, particularly French women and aging.
Find out why stars like Catherine Denueve (age 70) looks a whole better than her American counterparts who are the same age. One hint: Butter.

The French Woman's Rx For Beating Holiday Stress!

                        Eat This To Beat Stress!

We're smack dab in the middle of the holiday season.
That means running endless errands looking for the perfect gift,

shopping for food and then cooking that food, entertaining guests or
traveling
somewhere to be entertained, ughhh, it never seems to end.
If this is you, you may want to do something the women of France do
to lower their stress levels.

What is it?
The women eat cheese.
Research shows that French women suffer less stress than their
American sisters, and cheese has a lot to do with it.
Cheese is rich in amino acids called 5HTP. These amino acids produce
the feel-good neurotransmitters serotonin and tryptophan (which
your body converts to the calming hormone known as melatonin.

Aim for 1 to 3 oz. of a good (hard) piece of cheese.
Also have a glass of wine with that cheese and really lower
your stress levels.  (make it 1 glass only).

And lastly, if you're not overwhelmed by stress, eat some cheese
to build and keep bones strong.

Good Luck!
