The Philly Rx To Lower Blood Pressure!
Although we rarely feature health tips from the U.S.
Today, we decided to change directions and do it.
It's not that there aren't some great health tips
we can get from the U.S. it's just that countries
overseas seem to have a lot more to offer.
But not today, according to some historians,
the oldest street in the U.S. may be located in
Philadelphia PA. And what's so unusual about that?
It's a cobblestone street.
Again, what's so unusual about cobblestone
streets? They're located in parts of France,
Italy and Spain.
Well, if your blood pressure is starting to rise,
you may want to take advantage of that cobblestone.
That's right, the streets offer you more than curb appeal,
walking barefoot on them can bring your B.P. down about
5 points in less than 3 months. How so?
There are thousands of acupressure points on your feet,
and when you stimulate those points through massage
or walking barefoot, you can change a number of things
(health-wise) and one being, lowering your blood pressure.
So, are you ready to head to Elfreth Street in Phil. PA?
Or would you prefer to go barefoot in Italy or Spain?
Well, whatever you decide, remember the walking has to be
done without shoes and it must be done for about 12 weeks.
And for those unwilling to go barefoot outdoors or unwilling to
pay to go to Philly, Italy or Spain, there are cobblestones mats
you can purchase and bring your blood pressure down in the
privacy of your own home.
Look for the Mats online at Amazon.com.
And if you want more tips on how certain countries can
help you bring down your blood pressure, look
for our next E-document available right now at
Amazon.com/in the kindle store. See title to the right.
Don't spend yrs. going back and forth to the Dr.'s
office or paying for pills month after month.

Good Luck!

Boost Moods Naturally!
Treating depression is big business. A very big business.
Giving Rx meds to those who are down seems to be the most
popular type of medicine to those who are suffering.
But things are done differently in a lot of countries,
how so?
In some countries, the fruit peel is used and prized more than
the fruit itself.
And in some Asian countries, the people use banana peels to help
prevent depression. They serve them fried or steamed and this may
explain the low rates of depression in a lot of Asian countries.
The peels contain tryptophan, which the brain uses to make serotonin,
its own antidepressant. And eating the peel a few times a week
can raise your serotonin levels within a matter of weeks.
So, if you're feeling down, blue or negative, give the lowly
banana peel a try.
To make your own antidepressant medicine, use a small amount of the
peel to start.
Simmer in a pot of water, to get rid of germs and pesticides.
After 8 to 10 mins. remove the peel, cut up and place in a blender
and add it to a smoothie or a bowl of oatmeal.
And there are some other things you can do to boost moods, things
like...
*eat more fish, (not deep fried) and without fattening side dishes
( like French fries or Mac and Cheese).
* Exercise- walking and dancing count
* Volunteer- helping others make you forget your problems.
* Get Some Sun. Vitamin D from the Sun helps boosts mood. And...
* Eat more meals with family and friends.
That's it, amd in the not-to-distant future, we'll bring you more tips
on using fruit peels to melt fat, lower cancer rates and stroke risks.
Good Luck!

Eat This To Lower Blood Pressure!
Treating high blood pressure is almost as costly as treating
sleep disorders, diabetes, anxiety, depression, cancers and
heart disease.
Well, thanks to new research, you may be able to lower it without
resorting to dangerous or costly drugs.
And the new, alternative approach comes from Iceland.
What is it?
Eat Skyr.
Skyr is the traditional yogurt of Iceland, and it's not really
a yogurt, but a cultured, dairy product that's creamy, rich and tangy.
Researchers think probiotic-rich foods like Greek yogurt and
skyr may be able to lower blood pressure by a few points,
allowing people to give up the dangerous and costly drugs many
are now dependent on.
But it's just not Skyr, the Danes also eat a yogurt that rich and creamy
and full of probiotics. In fact, they eat their dairy product as
a dessert with some berries and it may be the reason for the low
levels of diabetes among Danish people.
And if you're not a fan of dairy, do like the South Koreans and eat
Kimchi, yes the spicy and fermented dish known as Kimchi is
a probiotic.
And the Germans and Polish have their own versions of probiotics
called Sauerkraut and pickles.
That's it- some alternative solutions to a very serious problems.
Look for Skyr, (try Siggis), Greek yogurt, sauerkraut, pickles
and Kimchi at your local supermarkets or go to any Asian specialty
store or go online and see if you can order any of these products
from your computer.
And lastly, if you want more info on how the Danes, Icelanders, Norwegians, Swedes and Finns keep their blood pressure in the normal range...head on over to Amazon.com/the kindle store and download, see title to the right...

Healthy Tips For A Great Summer!
The Summer season is only 4 wks. old. That means there are still another
6 wks. to enjoy and take advantage of the great weather.
If you suffer from some of the things associated with the Summer season,
perhaps your friends in Italy, France, or Greece can help.
Things like, skin damage from too much Sun, or headaches, or
bloat. You know, things you may also suffer from in the Fall or Winter.
(depending where you live)
Well, to help put an end to those pesky things, let's get some help
from our friends overseas. First up,
a) Headaches-
Too many salty hot dogs may be the cause, but to put
an end to that head throbbing pain, we'll get help
from Greece. And their solution is to go Nuts.
Not literally, but as in eat nuts, they're a great source of magnesium,
an important mineral that ends the head pain.
And if you're deficient in this mineral, it's usually caused by excessive sweating.
So, do like the Greeks and eat a few walnuts, almonds, and pistachios.
You may have to rinse them first, as some come with a lot of salt.
And lastly, skip the processed foods, (white rolls and hot dogs)
and fill yourself with fresh fruits, vegetables and nuts.
b) Bloat-
Ladies, don't think bloating happens in the Summertime?

It does, and it usually means your body's trying to hold onto
water in an attempt to stay cool. To fix it, get help from Italy
or France and use Fennel. The licorice-tasting plant is used in
soups and salads and the seeds to make a tea. Fennel is
one of the best foods to help flush up to 4 to 5 pounds of
excess water from your system.
Another tip: some doctors recommend it to pregnant women to
end their cravings for junk food and keep weight down.
Go online to Google.com if you're not sure how to buy or cook it.
c) Boost Energy-
Who wants to expend energy in the Summer?
Well, if you need to get an outdoor job done, but don't
have the energy to do so, look for help from the Japanese,
the Greeks or Italians, and the tip is...eat Seafood.
Popular in these countries, seafood is rich in nutrients
that help your liver convert food into energy enzymes.
Just make sure you prepare the seafood in a way that's
beneficial to your health, No deep frying it.
d) A Natural Sunscreen-
Concern about skin cancer is on the minds of parents everywhere, and if this is a concern you have, look for help in the Middle East.
The solution: Pomegranate. As popular in the Middle East as apples are to Americans. Pomegranate, the seeds or the juice can strengthen the internal tissues that cause skin to become damaged.
It works so well, it's able to block out about 30% of the Sun's harmful rays.
Also helpful- cooked tomatoes. How many Italians do you know
that are afflicted with skin cancer? Just asking.
And speaking of tomatoes, they also help you get to sleep and stay asleep in these hot and humid days. The more you eat, the more deeply you'll
sleep. Also helpful: Watermelon, the "official" food of Summer.
Make a tomato and watermelon salad and really get some deep sleep.
That's it, 5 tips to help you get through this Summer easily and
effortlessly. And if you want more tips like these,
head to Amazon.com/the kindle store and look for our latest
E-Documents...see both titles to the right.

Get Slim, Stay Slim!
Do you struggle with weight on a daily basis?
Is it a slow metabolism? Or is it too many in-between meal
snacks?
Well, whatever it is, we're sure you want to put an end to it.
And with the help of your brothers and sisters,
you may be able to finally do it.
That's right, people who live in the "slimmest countries"
don't have the same struggles as those who live in countries
where all types of food are available.
The slimmest countries are those where more than 70% of the
residents are at their ideal weight.
And some of the countries that made the list are...
a) China-
In most Chinese homes a carb is served and that carb is
being thrown out in a lot of American households,
What carb is it?
It's white rice.
Yes, rice. It's served with vegetables and not gravy,
fried chicken or roast beef, a roll and a slice of pie,
that's common in a lot of American households.
You can copy this secret, just switch to brown rice
and place some vegetables or beans on top.
b) The Dominican Republic-
Or Cuba, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico,
Panama or Chile. And the food they eat to keep
weight off: Beans. Full of fiber, beans fill you up
and end the cravings for fattier foods.
Use canned (make sure to rinse them first) or dried beans (soak them overnight)
Serve them over rice to get a complete protein.
c) Gambia-
Not sure where it is? It's in West Africa and the food
they eat...Peanuts. Used in entrees or to snack on,
peanuts help kill hunger pangs.
Look for peanuts at discount stores like B.J.s or Costco.
d) Japan-
There are a number of foods that help the Japanese
stay slim and trim. But we'll name one, and it's Soup.

Yes, soup before the main meal helps you fill up
so much, you'll eat less of the Entree.
Use broth-based soups and not soups with beef or chicken,
noodles or creams.
e) France-
If you've guessed Wine, then it isn't a secret. Women who drink wine (one or two glasses a day) are half as likely to be over-
weight than their peers who avoid it. It's the compounds in
wine that help metabolize fat and revs up the fat-burning gene.
So, if you don't have a problem (or had a problem) with
alcohol, have a glass or two of wine daily. And one more tip:
If you overdo it, you'll most certainly gain weight.
f) Italy-
Reread our post on Italy's Rx to prevent diabetes and
you'll get your answer there. hint: It's pasta.
That's it- and if you want more get slim secrets from
some other countries like...
Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Iceland, Korea, (South)
Morocco, Mexico, The Netherlands, Spain and Thailand,
head to Amazon.com/the kindle store and download...

Eat Like A Thai To Improve Health!
Thailand like a lot of countries is cloaked in mystery.
Yes, you may know a few things about their weather,
or the language they speak, but what else do you know?
Exactly, for instance, do you know some of the foods
that the people of Thailand eat to stay so hale and hearty?
Well, not many people do, but if you look below,
you'll see some of the foods the people eat on a regular basis.
a) Limes-
Used to season stir-fries, the way Americans use salt and the more
lime you use, the healthier you'll be.
Healthier how?
Limes will help you look and feel younger.
Limes are a citrus fruit and that means they're high in vitamin C,
the vitamin that heals damaged skin and makes collagen, the protein
that gives skin that plump, youthful look.
One word of caution about limes...if you plan on cooking with or
adding them to an adult beverage, make sure to clean your hands
after handling them. Going out into the Sun with lime juice on
your hands, arms, etc, may result in a very serious rash.
b) Scallions-
Often overlooked in most households, but not in Thailand and if you
want a stronger heart, a reduced chance of getting a stroke
and protection from breast and prostate cancers, then add some scallions to
your meat or egg dishes or veggie stir-fries.
Scallions, which are in the onion family, help widen blood vessels,
and stop blood platelets from clumping. They also help shut down
cells that may turn into cancer.
c) Chili Peppers-
Hot dishes are a popular commodity in many parts of the World
and if you use them, give yourself a pat on the back, because
chili peppers can lower blood pressure, boost energy levels,
help you slim down and preserve food that may get spoiled
in hot weather (like Thailand's).
That's it, 3 food tips to improve your health and your looks,
from the mysterious country known as Thailand.
And one more thing, don't forget to head to Amazon.com/the
kindle store, and pick up a copy of The Supermarket Rxs To

Protect Your Skin With Food and Beverages!
It's that time of year again, what time?
The time to protect your skin from the Sun's harmful rays.
The talk of sunscreen and the right type of sunscreen
seems to really dominate the conversation this time
of year.
One researcher says that why is it that you never hear about
skin cancer, sun damage or moles in places like Fiji,
The Bahamas, The Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico,
Tahiti, and other spots where the Sun shines more than 300
days a year?
In a word, diet.
That's right, the people who live in these places follow a better
diet, thus lowering their risk of heart disease, diabetes, strokes,
Alzheimer's and certain cancers, especially skin cancer.
And if you can't move to Jamaica or Tahiti, perhaps you
can eat like them.
Or eat the foods and drink the beverages that help them stay
cancer-free.
a) Japan-
Green tea is the preferred beverage for a lot of Japanese
and it helps block out the Sun's powerful rays.
Drink 2 to 4 cups a day and to make it more effective--add some
lemon juice to it.
b) India-
The people of Northern India use the spice Turmeric, the way Americans
use salt, and it may explain the low rates of memory problems and dementia.
It also helps keep skin cancer at bay. Use a tsp. or two of turmeric a day.
Add it to salads, soups, egg and meat dishes, and stews.
c) Poland and South Korea-
.jpg)
In these 2 countries, the people really enjoy their cabbage.
Kimchi in South Korea and coleslaw and stuffed cabbage in
Poland and if you want lower breast and prostate cancer risks,
eat more cabbage. And one more thing- cabbage also keeps the Sun
from doing major damage to your skin.
d) South America-
It's all about avocados in a lot of these countries and avocados
not only prevent skin cancer, they also reverse skin damage
that's already present.
e) Morocco-
If you're a fan of pomegranate (fresh or the juice) give yourself a pat on the back. It (pomegranate) keeps the heart beating for yrs. to come and it also protects your skin from the Sun's harmful rays.
